An overview of the different areas at Freakstock
CheckerPoint and Infopoint 2
Right when you come unto the festival grounds you will see a hut called CheckerPoint. Someone will be there all day and all night long. This is where you want to go for any questions you might have or to solve any issues that may arise. CheckerPoint is also where the Freakstock office and organization headquarters are located.
You will also find an information board here containing important news and announcements such as: schedule changes, general news, ride share board, lost & found, miscellaneous.
Malteser - First Aid 16
First Aid is located right next to the main entrance. First Ais is NOT a place to get Band-Aids or painkillers (seriously!). The First Aid workers are there for emergencies only - please do not treat them as if they are your primary care provider.
artLand 3
artLand (formerly called “Kunstrasen”) is upon to anyone who wants to see the creative output of the movement. There will be unplugged concerts, DJs, and monitoring at night. A visit to artLand is always a worthwhile experience. But be forewarned: artLand may stir your creativity and dreams and you could leave the location seriously inspired!
Kloster 3 (Monastery)
This area hosts Fatherhouse and Liturgical church services. Come on in and be refreshed!
Schaedelstaette 3 (the place of the skull)
Here you will find a great selection of liquids. All sorts of different drinks. Enjoy, but rather than thinking of Schaedelstaette as a place to get plastered and brain-dead, please remember where the name “the place of the skull” is derived from. A hint: think of the miracle of easter sunday!
All You Can Eat breakfast 4
The name says it all, this is Freakstock’s traditional All You Can Eat breakfast place. Dig in!
JFI / JFD 8
This is where Jesus Freak International and Jesus Freaks Germany introduce their work. You can chill here and get information on either organization. There’s information on everything you want to know about the hosts of Freakstock festival. This is also where FKK and M&Ms take place.

This place used to be a tennis court but we are going to use it for playing volleyball!
Caming Area 15c
It’s going to be more cozy than the vast space we used to have for camping at Boxberg. We’ll have to get a bit closer this year and squeeze together, but we’re confident we’ll manage to find a place for everyone. So get out your tent and let’s go!
Open Air Buehne Herzstueck 20 (open air stage “heart piece”)
The place of opening and closing ceremonies as well as plenty of “input” and music all festival long. We are going to our opening celebration here on Wednesday night and our closing event on Sunday afternoon.
24 / 7 at 24
What better place to have our 24/7 are then in building 24? 24/7 offers the opportunity to pray 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will be different forms and expressions of prayer. As a prayer veteran you’ll be right at home, as a newcomers you may be surprised by the kaleidoscope of different ways of encountering God.
Drogenberatung 24 (drug counseling)
This is the place to ask questions and find information about drugs and drug abuse. You are welcome to come here if you are struggling with a drug addiction yourself or simply to obtain general information about drugs. Our drug counseling service is available Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm, and from 3 pm to 6 pm. On Sunday we are available from 10 am to 12pm.
Wenn die Seele brennt 24 (when your soul is aching)
This is the place to gather and talk about yourself and the world you live in. There’s going to be plenty of folks to chat and share a cup of coffee with. You may pour out your heart to someone or talk about whatever is bothering you. You’ll find someone to listen to you here from 9 am to 2 am.
KinderWelt, Kidzstock 24 (children’s world)
As every year you may entrust your kids to Kinderwelt. We’ll do our very best to spoil your kids by teaching them new ways to have fun. Kinderwelt will be open from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, but we ask you to stop by throughout the day to check in on your little ones (depending on age and temperament). We take care of kids starting at age 3, for kids younger than that we may be able to make special arrangements.
Please give us your cell phone number so we can reach mom or dad in case of emergencies or temper tantrums or whatever… Please come and help us settle any kind of issues with your own kids if need be. We’ll have a killer program for the older kids this year!
Muckibude 24 (muscle camp)
If you don’t sweat enough jumping around at concerts, the kids next door don’t keep you running around, or you can’t find any other constructive way to break a sweat, Muckibude is the place for you.
Turbinenhalle 26
Hard, loud, weird, intense. This is the location for all fans of hard music to gather. And for all nostalgic old-timers: Turbinenhalle is the former Sidestage. And even older old-timers used to call is the Marquee.

beats, hiphop, drum’n'bass, everything DJ is at home at Raketenclub. We’ll keep going ’till the wee morning hours.

Although there will be no military tattoos at this tent there will be drinks all night until the bitter end.
Huehnermarkt 30 (chicken market)
Everything you could want and need to keep your tummy happy and your heart content. You’ll find food and merchandise at Huehnermarkt.
Parking
Visitors to Freakstock may only park in the Freakstock parking lot. If you park anywhere else chances are you will be towed. Please leave your car in the parking lot during the festival and refrain from driving off the grounds if at all possible. Everything you need will be available on site. Vehicles parked on the street will be towed without prior notice since the street needs to stay open for emergency vehicles. There is absolutely no stopping on the street! The parking lot next to the entrance is only available to those who have special parking permits.
Our parking volunteers are there to help prevent chaotic conditions in the parking lot but they are not responsible for protecting your vehicle against theft.
Driving upon festival grounds is prohibited!
Sanitaere Anlagen (Bathrooms & washing stations)
Almost every building on site has bathrooms that we may use. Buildings 10,11, 17 and 21 also have showers. Sewage may become a problem, however, so please take only short showers. Girls - please do not throw sanitary items in the toilets, use the trash cans provided. Guys - please do not water the plants. With all due respect towards towards those wanting to be “all natural”, please be civilized and used the bathrooms instead.
Arrival and departure
In the last few years we’ve always had people wanting to come several days early or stay a few days after the festival. Unfortunately we can’t do that at our new location. We will be setting up until the very last minute and we can’t allow visitors on site until wednesday at 6pm. If you arrive earlier than that you will have to make arrangements to stay somewhere else. You can look for hotels or youth hostels in the surrounding area.
FKK and M&Ms
We rearranged our organization of seminars and workshops.
We are offering small seminars in which there’ll be one person talking and everyone else listening. We call those workshops voluntary consuming clubs (Freiwillige Konsum Klubs = FKK) for all those wanting to subject themselves to information consumerism.
But we are also offering a different model of workshops, the Mit-machworkships called M&Ms. The M&Ms are interactive workshops (Mit-Mach = participation). Some of these M&Ms are full-body participation workshops giving participants a chance to be interactive and to experiment.
Both kinds of seminars and workshops are offered in the following categories:
Kopf (head):
theology, science, discussions
Hand (hand):
writing workshops, chain saw workshops, first aid classes
Fuss (foot):
dancing, sports, running in the woods, treasure hunts
Herz (heart):
relationships, drug counseling, general counseling
Bauch (stomach):
cooking classes, kids workshops, streetwo(r)k, food banks
Sinne (senses):
24-7, communication, experience, art
